Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Vinyasa is a type of yoga that links movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. From the Sanskrit “to place in a special way,” vinyasa aligns a deliberate sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous flow. Inhalation is usually connected to upward, open movements, while exhalation is often tied to downward movements or twists.
Tulip Macouzet
Tulip has been practicing yoga for 20 years and has been teaching yoga for more than 10 years. She has explored various yoga styles and has certifications in Viniyoga, Anusara and Parinnama (yoga for addictions). She decided to explore the area of massage as a tool to understand more about anatomy and the mechanics of the body and to help her students to heal injuries. She has studied different massage techniques such as Swedish, Thai, deep tissue, aromatherapy, relaxing, sports, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, etc. Since 2011, she has worked as a massage therapist and yoga teacher in some of the most prestigious spas in San Miguel de Allende and the Riviera Maya.
Her yoga classes are usually dynamic and flowing towards the Vinyasa Flow, but given her experience and the variety of techniques she has learned (from therapeutic and restorative to Ashtanga and Vinyasa), classes can be very varied depending on the group. She has the ability to observe and create an environment where participants can break the perception they have of themselves as to their own yoga practice, and are encouraged to challenge themselves and listen to their bodies.

Gentle Yoga
This Yoga session has three main purposes: first, to take care of the health of our bodies. Second, to develop mindfulness of the present moment through our breath and body. And third, we practice becoming familiar with our own minds and hearts. This includes becoming aware of our natural loving-kindness.

We start every session with the attendance of our breath and by setting a motivation for the practice. We have a principle of compassion for ourselves, or bodies, our minds, and other beings as well. Then we practice standing and sitting yoga asanas. Through different sequences, we work with strength, equilibrium, flexibility, and stretching in a deep, yet gentle way. We will conclude every class with some minutes of guided sitting meditation.

This class is open to students from every age, faith, level of practice and physical condition.

Taiji (T’ai Chi) is an ancient Chinese exercise practiced for health and self-defense. It is characterized by slow, gentle movements and sometimes described as meditation in motion. It emphasizes balanced, low impact, whole body movements. It positive affects on stress, focus, arthritis and a host of other health issues. As scientific research increasingly shows, regular T’\ai Chi practice can have significant impact on mental, emotional and physical health and well-being. Or as an old Chinese saying goes, “Practice Taiji and you will develop the pliability of a child, the strength of a lumberjack and the peace of a sage.”

Bob has been a student of T’ai Chi (Taijiquan) and Qigong for many years. He has studied and practiced T’ai Chi for nearly 35 years, Qigong for 22 years, and has taught for 20. He has had the opportunity over the years to work with a number of top T’ai Chi masters and has studied a variety of styles. Most notably, he has been a senior student of Master Yang Yang for more than two decades. He was one of the first students to be certified by Dr. Yang in his Evidence Based Taiji program. This program is noted for its research-based health benefits. It is used by the medical staff and patients at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. It is also part of weekly instruction at Canyon Ranch Resort in Massachusetts. Bob travels regularly with Dr. Yang to teach workshops and retreats across the US.

Yoga for everyone is a space for sensibilization, integration, and regeneration of your energy. Move with grace and intention, while learning to express and transform your feelings through movements and breath. We start with a warm-up that prepares the body, calms the mind, and activates the circulation, digestion, and lymphatic systems. We continue with a sequence of postures that varies depending on the specific day’s work. To conclude we relax with floor postures and simple inversions to end the class being reborn in meditation. This practice will help you to detoxify at many levels and recharge your luminous internal energy. You will feel rooted, light, and in harmony. No previous yoga experience required.

Luna
Yoga appeared in my life during a crisis like a ray of light that completely transformed the way in which I perceive myself and those around me. I learned to channel my energy, separate myself from my thoughts, and to be at peace with the intense emotions that accompany each day. The tools that the yogic tradition proposes are practical and effective, it is our decision to take advantage of them, simplify and give them the power to enter into our day-to-day life, revolutionize our consciousness and help us to improve.

QI GONG (pronounced “Tchi Kong”) is the father of Tai Chi Chuan and its origins go back to the beginnings of the Chinese civilization, from the ancient taoist’s gymnastics of longevity. In fact, Tai Chi Chuan is an inner martial art codified in the 17th century, created from the fusion between martial art’s techniques and Qi Gong.

QI GONG is part of one of the five branches of the traditional Chinese medicine, and means: “Control of the vital energy “.It is a traditional Chinese gymnastics whose practice consists of slow and gentle movements, combined with breath exercises and concentration of the mind. This thousand-year-old discipline helps the circulation of the energy through the body.

QI GONG is not a martial art and its aim is always spiritual and therapeutic.

The regular practice of QI GONG:

Calms and relaxes the mind
Reinforces the neuromuscular system and makes it more flexible
Optimizes all the functions of the organism
Supports the immune system and sustains the strengths of self-recovery
Guarantees good health and vitality
QI GONG is a practice for everybody, regardless of gender, religion, age of physical condition.

In this class we prepare the body for seated meditation via core strengthening and postures designed to release tension in the hips, hamstrings, back, neck, and shoulders. This leads to more comfort during seated meditation and harnesses energy that can be used to increase consciousness. A walking meditation is done prior to sitting to strengthen focused attention and peripheral awareness. Josh offers guidance in both types of meditation and encourages questions afterwards. This class is intended for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners.

Josh Geller has practiced yoga and meditation for most of his life. While initially focusing on understanding reality through science and music, the insights he later gained through meditation and contemplation of the dharma inspired him to begin teaching in 2011. Josh received his 200-hour yoga teacher certification from Ananda Ashram (Monroe, NY). He currently studies shamatha-vipassana meditation and Buddhist dharma with his teacher, Upasaka Culadasa. Josh believes that a yoga practice that prepares the body for meditation leads to more profound levels of mindfulness and insight.
